DISTRESSED FINISH

The distressed guitar is by far my favorite. It is a very difficult and time consuming process, but the results are very rewarding. I try to make the guitar as authentic as possible, making it appear aged and not simply abused. The tuning machines undergo an aging technique that will make new machines appear very old without harming any of the mechanical components. The guitar is entirely french polished to get an authentic look/feel to the instrument. The playability of these instruments is the same as my other models because I do not distress the frets or do anything that would sacrifice tone or playability. The guitar is meant to look approximately 100 years old and is aged similarly to existing guitars this age, right down to the faux cracks on the soundboard. The instrument can be distressed to the customer's desire.
