GENERAL PHILOSOPHY

I only build one type of guitar.  I do not build
instruments with cutaways or electronics and I do not build
student guitars.  My goal is to build an instantly recognizable
concert instrument both aesthetically and acoustically.  I only use the
highest quality materials and pay strict attention to detail at every
step in the building process.  Each instrument is entirely handmade by myself and I
do not use any pre-fabricated components (e.g. bridge, bindings, rosette, neck, linings).
 

Each instrument incorporates science and art.  Knowledge of
physics and acoustics is invaluable as this is the foundation of a
great instrument.  However, scientific principles become
confounded when applied to organic materials.  Each soundboard
is different from the next and will react differently when set into
motion.  Science attempts to explain guitar acoustics but it cannot
accurately control or predict it.  This is the artistry of the luthier.
