Intonation

Intonation is an issue for fretted instruments. In an attempt to minimize these issues, both the nut and saddle on all of my instruments are intonated. The causes of intonation problems are rather complicated and have been studied vigorously by several luthiers. Greg Byers has written a thorough article that addresses intonation problems and solutions to offset these issues. I have adopted the findings of his study for my own instruments.
